ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 20:11
ਤਾਂ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਡਰਦਾ ਸਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਥਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਵੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਆਦਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ। ਮੈਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਬੰਦਾ ਸਾਰਾਹ ਦੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।

| the fear | אֵין | ʾên | ane |
| of God | יִרְאַ֣ת | yirʾat | yeer-AT |
| not is | אֱלֹהִ֔ים | ʾĕlōhîm | ay-loh-HEEM |
| in this | בַּמָּק֖וֹם | bammāqôm | ba-ma-KOME |
| place; | הַזֶּ֑ה | hazze | ha-ZEH |
| me slay will they and | וַֽהֲרָג֖וּנִי | wahărāgûnî | va-huh-ra-ɡOO-nee |
| for | עַל | ʿal | al |
| my wife's | דְּבַ֥ר | dĕbar | deh-VAHR |
| sake. | אִשְׁתִּֽי׃ | ʾištî | eesh-TEE |
