Ezra 7:13
ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜੇਕਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ, ਇਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਜਾਜਕ ਜਾਂ ਲੇਵੀ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਅਜ਼ਰਾ ਨਾਲ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ, ਉਹ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਛਾ ਤੇ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਤਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਉਹੀ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਸ਼ੂਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਦਿਨ ਲਈ ਜਾਰੀ ਰਹੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲੋਬਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੂਲੀ ਚਾਢ਼ਿਆ।

ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਕ ਨੇ ਬੜੀ ਫੁਰਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਹ ਹੁਕਮ ਸ਼ੂਸ਼ਨ ਜਿਲ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਪੀਣ ਲਈ ਬੈਠ ਗਏ ਪਰ ਸ਼ੂਸ਼ਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਲਝਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ।

ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ; ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਜਨ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ’ਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਅੰਗ ਸੰਗ ਹੋਵੇ। ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਕਰੇ।

ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਖਬਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ, ਬਏਰਸ਼ਬਾ ਤੋਂ ਦਾਨ ਤੀਕ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਹ ਘੋਸ਼ਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਪਸਹ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਣ। ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਸਹ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਦੇਰ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਮਨਾਇਆ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਪਸਹ ਮਨਾਉਣਾ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਉਵੇਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੜੀ ਦੇਰ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਮਨਾਈ।
