Ezekiel 33:5
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਤੁਰ੍ਹੀ ਦੀ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੀ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਅਣਸੁਣਿਆਂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਓਹੀ ਕਸੂਰਵਾਰ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਚੇਤਾਨਵੀ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਬਚਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਸੀ।

ਨੂਹ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਿਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਹਾਲੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਖ ਸੱਕਿਆ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਨੂਹ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਦਰ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਨੂਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੀ ਕਿਸ਼ਤੀ ਬਣਾਈ। ਆਪਣੀ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਨੂਹ ਨੇ ਦਰਸਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਗਲਤ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਨੂਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਧਰਮੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।

ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ (ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ) ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਸ਼ਿਆਰ-ਖਬਰਦਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਉਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਕਈ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਅ ਲਿਆ।

ਉਹ ਹੀ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਹਾਂ ਜੇ ਅੱਜ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣੀਏ।

ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਰਾਹ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ-ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਇੱਕਲਾ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਏ।”

ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਸਾਡਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਹੈ।” ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜੇਕਰ ਸੱਚ ਮੁੱਚ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੀ ਅੰਸ਼ ਹੁੰਦੇ, ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹੀ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਜੋ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ।

ਸਾਡੀ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਵੱਧਾਨ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਸੱਚ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਗ ਤੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਨਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਈਏ।
