ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 7:23
ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਜਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਹਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਂਦੇ।

| deliver shall | אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ | ʾĕlōhêkā | ay-loh-HAY-ha |
| them unto thee, | לְפָנֶ֑יךָ | lĕpānêkā | leh-fa-NAY-ha |
| destroy shall and | וְהָמָם֙ | wĕhāmām | veh-ha-MAHM |
| them with a mighty | מְהוּמָ֣ה | mĕhûmâ | meh-hoo-MA |
| destruction, | גְדֹלָ֔ה | gĕdōlâ | ɡeh-doh-LA |
| until | עַ֖ד | ʿad | ad |
| they be destroyed. | הִשָּֽׁמְדָֽם׃ | hiššāmĕdām | hee-SHA-meh-DAHM |
