Daniel 2:2
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਸ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਜਾਦੂ ਟੂਣੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਰਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਹਿਸਾਬ ਲਾਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਸੁਪਨਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਜਾਨਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ। ਰਾਜਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਬੰਦੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸਣ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁੱਖ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ।

ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਜਾਦੂਗਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਵਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਿਆਣਿਆ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਇਸ ਲਿਖਤ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹ ਸੱਕੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਸਦਾ ਅਰਬ ਸਮਝਾ ਸੱਕੇਗਾ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਾਮ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਰਮਚੀ ਵਸਤਰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਨੇ ਦਾ ਹਾਰ ਪਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੀਸਰਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਚਾ ਹਾਕਮ ਬਣਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।”

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ ਜਾਵੇ। ਕਿਉਂ? ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਸੱਕਣ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਦਾ ਕੀ ਅਰਬ ਸੀ:

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਆਣਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਦੂਗਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਚੁਸਤੀਆਂ ਵਰਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਵਰਗੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਮਯਾਬ ਹੋ ਗਏ।

ਅਗਲੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਪਨਿਆਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਫ਼ਿਕਰਮੰਦ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਿਆਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਦੂਗਰ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਏ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਸੁਪਨੇ ਸੁਣਾਏ ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵਿਆਖਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਿਆ।

ਕਸਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿਤਾ: ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਹ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੇ ਜੋ ਰਾਜਾ ਆਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ! ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਸਿਆਣਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਂ ਜਾਦੂ ਟੂਣੇ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕੁਝ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਖਿਆ।ਕਿਸੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮਹਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਤਾਕਤਵਰ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਆਣਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਖਿਆ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 47:12
ਤੂੰ ਜਾਦੂ-ਟੂਣਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਸਾਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਸਖਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਹੁਣ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਾਦੂ-ਟੂਣਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕਰ। ਸ਼ਇਦ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਣ, ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੇਁ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 19:3
ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਭੰਬਲ ਭੂਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੈ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ। ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੁੱਧੀਮਾਨਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਦੂਗਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਣਗੇ। ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਸੀਹਤ ਬੇਕਾਰ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।”
ਯਸਈਆਹ 8:19
