ਇਹ ਸਭ ਇਵੇਂ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ; ਉੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੇਮੇਤ੍ਰਿਯੁਸ ਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦੇ ਛੋਟੇ-ਛੋਟੇ ਅਰਤਿਮਿਸ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਜਿਹੇ ਬਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਉਂ ਉਹ ਕਾਰੀਗਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਕੰਮ ਦਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਖਾਸਾ ਧਨ ਕਮਾ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
