Acts 11:13
ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਤ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਕੁਝ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯੱਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੇਜ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਾ ਦੇਣ।

ਪਤਰਸ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਸਾਰੇ ਦਿਨ ਯੱਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਮੜੇ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਰਿਹਾ।

ਇੱਕ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਜੇ ਦੇ ਆਸ-ਪਾਸ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਤ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗਾ, “ਕੁਰਨੇਲਿਯੁਸ।”

ਉਹ ਬੋਲੇ, “ਇੱਕ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਕੁਰਨੇਲਿਯੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਸੱਦਾ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਸੈਨਾ ਦਾ ਅਫ਼ਸਰ ਅਤੇ ਭਲਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਉਸਦਾ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਦੂਤ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਬੁਲਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਸੁਣ ਲਵੇਂ।”

ਤਦ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਆਇਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਕੀ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ, “ਹੁਣ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਵਾਸਤਵ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਦੂਤ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹੇਰੋਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰਾਇਆ। ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਬੁਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ, ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਲਿਆ।”
