ਮਹੀਨੇ ਤੇ ਉਪਰਾਮਤਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਮੀਹਨੇ ਬੀਤ ਗਏ। ਮੈਂ ਰਾਤਾਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਰਾਤਾਂ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਦੇਖੀਆਂ ਨੇ।

ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਹੀ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਖੋਹ ਲਈ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।

ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦਾ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਛੋਟਾ ਜਿਹਾ ਪਲ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ, ਮੇਰੀ ਥੋੜੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਉਮਰ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ। ਹਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਬੱਦਲ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਉੱਡ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬੰਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ।

ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਾਪਰ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਅਰਬਹੀਣ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਹਵਾ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਭੱਜਣ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੈ।
