ਮੈਂ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਾ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ, ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਸਾਂ? ਮੈਂ ਜਨਮ ਸਮੇਂ ਹੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਾ ਮਰਿਆ?

ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਸੱਚ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਜਿਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਹਾਂ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਜਨਮਿਆ ਸਾਂ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉਦੋਂ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਤੇ ਸੁਕੂਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਲੇ ਦੁੱਧ ਚੁੰਘਦਾ ਬੱਚਾ ਸਾਂ।

ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਘਲ ਜਾਣ ਦਿਉ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਘੋਗਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਤੁਰਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਬੱਚੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਨਾ ਵੇਖਣ ਦਿਉ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੁਰਦਾ ਜੰਮਿਆ ਸੀ।

ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਗਾ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕਸਾਥ ਬੁਣਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਢੱਕਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਅਜੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਦੇ ਗਰਭ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਂ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 46:3

ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਦੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤ ਮਾਂ ਮੈਂ, (ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ) ਬਹੁਤ ਉਦਾਸ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੀ ਅਲੋਚਨਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਪੈਣੀ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ-ਲਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ। ਪਰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਸਰਾਪ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਜੋ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਸੰਦ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਜੋ ਜੁਆਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਆਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੱਕੀਆਂ ਛਾਤੀਆਂ ਦੇ।
