ਗਲਾਤੀਆਂ 1

1 ਪੌਲੁਸ ਰਸੂਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ, ਸ਼ੁਭਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਰਸੂਲ ਵਜੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਨਹੀਂ! ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਰਸੂਲ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਵਾਲਿਆ।

2 ਮਸੀਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗਲਾਤਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚਲੀਆਂ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਨ।

3 ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।

4 ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ। ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਬਦੀ ਦੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਕਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਸੀਂ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਪਿਤਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਸੀ।

5 ਸਦੀਵੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧਿਤ ਹੈ। ਆਮੀਨ।

6 ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਹੀ ਸੱਚੀ ਹੈ ਥੋੜਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰੋਕਾਰ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਸੱਦਿਆ। ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਸਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੜਾ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹਾਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਵੱਲ ਮੁੜ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ।

7 ਅਸਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਸੱਚੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਹੈ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਸ਼ੋਪੰਚ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ।

8 ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੇਕਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਖੁਦ ਜਾਂ ਸਵਰਗ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਦੂਤ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਖਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਤਿਰਸੱਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

9 ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਮੈਂ ਪਹਿਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਆਖੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਸੱਚੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਵਾਨ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹੋ। ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਰ ਮਾਰਗ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਿੰਦਿਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

10 ਕੀ ਹੁਣ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ? ਨਹੀਂ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ? ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਸੇਵਕ ਨਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ।

11 ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੈ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।

12 ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਲੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੀ ਸੀ। ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਨੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।

13 ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿੱਛਲੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹੋ। ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਧਰਮ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਯਾਈ ਸਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਤਾਇਆ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।

14 ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਧਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਵੱਧ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਪੁਰਾਣੀ ਮਰਯਾਦਾ ਦਾ ਅਨੁਸਰਣ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਹ ਨੇਮ ਉਹੀ ਰਿਵਾਜ਼ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।

15 ਪਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਜਨਮ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਖਾਸ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਾਲ ਸੱਦਿਆ।

16 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਗੈਰ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੱਸਾਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ, ਮੈਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਸਲਾਹ ਜਾਂ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਗੀ।

17 ਮੈਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਲੋਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਰਸੂਲ ਸਨ। ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਅਰਬ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਦੰਮਿਸਕ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਸ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ।

18 ਤਿੰਨਾਂ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਬਾਦ ਮੈਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਮੈਂ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਪਤਰਸ ਕੋਲ ਪੰਦਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਠਹਿਰਿਆ।

19 ਮੈਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਰਸੂਲ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲਿਆ।

20 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਲਿਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਝੂਠੀਆਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ।

21 ਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਸੁਰਿਯਾ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਲਿਕਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵੱਲ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ।

22 ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾਵਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਨਿਜੀ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਿਲੀਆਂ।

23 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਹੀ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਸੀ; “ਇਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਓਸੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਦੇ ਉਹ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ।”

24 ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਕੀਤੀ।

1 Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)

2 And all the brethren which are with me, unto the churches of Galatia:

3 Grace be to you and peace from God the Father, and from our Lord Jesus Christ,

4 Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:

5 To whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

10 For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.

11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.

12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

13 For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it:

14 And profited in the Jews’ religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,

16 To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

17 Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.

18 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days.

19 But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord’s brother.

20 Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not.

21 Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;

22 And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ:

23 But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.

24 And they glorified God in me.
