Ezekiel 16:56
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਅਤੀਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੂੰ ਗੁਮਾਨੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਭੈਣ ਸਦੂਮ ਦਾ ਮਜ਼ਾਕ ਉਡਾਉਂਦੀ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਫੇਰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗੀ।

“ਫ਼ਿਰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ! ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਾੜੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਦ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਸੁੱਟਾਂਗਾ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੋ ਕੋਈ ਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾ ਰਹੇਗਾ।
ਲੋਕਾ 15:28
“ਵੱਡਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਇੰਨਾ ਗੁੱਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਰੀਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਉਣ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ।

ਫਰੀਸੀ ਮਸੂਲੀਏ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਅਲੱਗ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ। ਜਦੋਂ ਫਰੀਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ‘ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਬਾਕੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਭੈੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਕੋਈ ਚੋਰ ਜਾਂ ਧੋਖੇਬਾਜ ਜਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਬਦਕਾਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਮਸੂਲੀਏ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਹਾਂ।
