Esther 7:3
ਰਾਣੀ ਅਸਤਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ, ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਸੰਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਇਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਕਰੇ, ਤਾਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਣ ਦੇਵੀਂ। ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਥੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੇਣ ਦੀ ਵੀ ਮੰਗ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ। ਬਸ ਇਹੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਫਰਿਆਦ ਹੈ।

ਅਹਜ਼ਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੀਜੇ, ਵਾਰ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ 50 ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਭੇਜੇ। ਤੀਜਾ ਕਪਤਾਨ, ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਕੋਲ ਆਕੇ ਉਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਝੁਕ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਮਿੰਨਤ ਕੀਤੀ, “ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ, ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੰਜਾਹ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਾਨਾਂ ਬਖਸ਼ ਦੇ।
ਆ ਸਤਰ 4:8
ਮਾਰਦਕਈ ਨੇ ਹਬਾਕ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਖਤ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਨਕਲ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਦਾ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਸ਼ੂਸ਼ਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਘਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਹਬਾਕ ਅਸਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਵਿਖਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਹਾਲ ਦੱਸੇ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਸਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਕੇ, ਮਾਰਦਕਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਮਿੰਨਤ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਹਿਦਾਇਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਵਾਨ ਹਾਂ, ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਮਂਗਾ ਉਹ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰੇ ਤਾਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਜੋ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਕੱਲ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਉਣ। ਕੱਲ ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਦਾਅਵਤ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰਾਂਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਵੀ ਪਰਗਟ ਕਰਾਂਗੀ।”
ਆ ਸਤਰ 7:7
ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਬੜਾ ਕਰੋਧ ਆਇਆ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੈਅ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਉੱਠ ਖਲੋਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਾਗ਼ ਵੱਲ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ। ਪਰ ਹਾਮਾਨ ਰਾਣੀ ਕੋਲ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਬਖਸ਼ਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਫ਼ਰਿਆਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਰਵਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਅੱਯੂਬ 2:4
ਸ਼ਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਹਰ ਕਾਸੇ ਦਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੁੱਲ ਹੈ। ਪਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਉਹ ਦੇਣਦਾਰ ਹੈ।

ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਲਈ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ, “ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਸ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਇੱਥੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ।

ਜੇ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਆਖਣ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੀਂ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਨਾਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਦੀ ਉਸ ਕਾਲ ਕੋਠੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਸ ਨਾ ਭੇਜਣਾ। ਜੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਓੱਥੇ ਜਾਣਾ ਪਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਮਰ ਜਾਵਾਂਗਾ।’”
