2 Samuel 7:14
ਮੈਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਹੋਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਸੋ ਜੇ ਕਦੇ ਉਹ ਪਾਪ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਵਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੈਂਤ ਹੋਣਗੇ।

“ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਧੰਨ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅਨੁਸ਼ਾਸਿਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਿਕਵਾ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
