ਇਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੂਜਾ ਦੋਦੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਅਹੋਹੀ ਸੀ। ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਿੰਨ ਨਾਇੱਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਿ ਦਾਊਦ ਨਾਲ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵੰਗਾਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੜ੍ਹੇ ਸਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਸੈਨਿਕ ਭੱਜ ਖੜੋਤੇ ਸਨ।

ਯਸਈਆਹ 63:3
ਉਹ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕਲਾ ਹੀ ਵਾਈਨਪ੍ਰੈਸ ਅੰਦਰ ਤੁਰਿਆ ਹਾਂ। ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤੀ। ਮੈਂ ਨਰਾਜ਼ ਸਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅੰਗੂਰਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾਂ ਦਾ ਲਹੂ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੱਪੜਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਡੁਲ੍ਹਿਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਗੰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦੋਦੋ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ ਸੀ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿ ਅਹੋਹ ਤੋਂ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਤਿੰਨ ਨਾਇੱਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੀ।

ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੂੰ ਤਾ ਤਲਵਾਰ, ਢਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਛਾ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਸਰਬ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਤੇ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੰਦਾ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਤੂੰ ਇੰਨਾ ਮੰਦਾ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ।

ਮੈਂ ਇੱਕ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਰਿੱਛ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਅਸੁੰਨਤੀ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਗੋਲਿਆਥ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਹੀ ਮਾਰ ਮੁਕਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਗੋਲਿਆਥ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਮਰੇਗਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਦਾ ਮਖੌਲ ਉਡਾਇਆ ਹੈ।

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਅੱਜ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਦਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਰਮਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਇਹ ਆਖਣ ਦੀ ਜ਼ੁਰ੍ਰਅਤ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਭੇਜੋ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰੇ।”

ਤਾਂ ਬਿਲਆਮ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਆਖੀਆਂ: “ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਬਾਲਾਕ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਆਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਪੂਰਬੀ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲਿਆਂਦਾ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਾਲਾਕ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ‘ਆ, ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਾਪ ਸਰਾਪ ਦੇ, ਆ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਰਾਪ ਦੇ।’
