ਆਮੋਸ 2:1
ਮੋਆਬ ਲਈ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਉਂ ਫ਼ੁਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ: “ਮੈਂ ਮੋਆਬ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਲਈ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅਦੋਮ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾੜਕੇ ਚੂਨਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
ਕਜ਼ਾૃ 11:31
ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਚੀਜ਼ ਭੇਟ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਉਦੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਵੇਗੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਜਿੱਤ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕਰਕੇ ਵਾਪਿਸ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਹੋਮ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਵਾਂਗਾ।”
ਅਸਤਸਨਾ 12:31
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਨਾਲ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਓਸੇ ਢੰਗ ਨਾਲ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨੀ! ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਮੰਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਸਾੜਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਲੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਗਈ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਜਨਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਕੇ ਝੂਠੇ ਦੇਵਤਿਆਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬਲੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਕੀ ਤੇਰੀ ਵੇਸਵਾਈ ਦਾ ਵਜਨ ਕਾਫੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ।

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਅਰਾਮੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਪਰਬਤਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ ਪਰ ਵਾਦੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਵੱਡੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਹਰਾਵਾਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ।’”

ਉਸੀ ਵਕਤ ਇੱਕ ਨਬੀ ਅਹਾਬ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਕੋਲ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹੇ ਅਹਾਬ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਉਂ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ, ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਇਹ ਵੱਡਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਦਲ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ? ਵੇਖ! ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਜ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੱਥ ਕਰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਤੂੰ ਅੱਜ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਾਰ ਦੇਵੇਂਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹਾਂ।”

ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਅੱਜ ਰਾਤ ਅਸੀਂ ਫ਼ਲਿਸਤੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗੇ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗੇ।” ਸੈਨਾ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਤੈਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਠੀਕ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਸੋ ਕਰ।” ਪਰ ਜਾਜਕ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਪਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੋਂ ਪੁੱਛੀਏ।”
ਕਜ਼ਾૃ 11:39
ਦੋ ਮਹੀਨਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੰਤ ਉੱਤੇ, ਯਿਫ਼ਤਾਹ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਕੋਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਪਰਤ ਆਈ। ਯਿਫ਼ਤਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਯਿਫ਼ਤਾਹ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਨੇ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖੇ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਰਿਵਾਜ਼ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ।
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 22:2
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਰੀਆਹ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲੈ ਜਾ। ਮੋਰੀਆਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਬਲੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ। ਇਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਇੱਕ ਲੌਤਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਇਸਹਾਕ ਹੀ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ-ਉਹ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਮ ਦੀ ਭੇਟ ਵਜੋਂ ਵਰਤ। ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਾਂਗਾ ਕਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਉੱਤੇ।”
ਪੈਦਾਇਸ਼ 22:13
ਫ਼ੇਰ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਨੇ ਇੱਕ ਭੇਡੂ ਦੇਖਿਆ। ਭੇਡੂ ਦੇ ਸਿੰਗ ਝਾੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਸੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਭੇਡੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਲੀ ਵਜੋਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
