ਸ਼ੀਸ਼ਕ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਆਇਆ।

ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦਾ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਣਾ ਤਦ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਖਾਸ ਕਮਾਂਡਰਾਂ ਤਰਤਾਨ, ਰਬਸਾਰੀਸ ਅਤੇ ਰਬਸ਼ਾਕੇਹ ਨੂੰ ਲਾਕੀਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ। ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਕਪਤਾਨ ਲਾਕੀਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਗਏ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਵੱਡੇ ਤਲਾਬ ਦੀ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਟੈਂਕੀ ਕੋਲ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ। ਜੋ ਕਿ ਧੋਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 8:8
ਉਹ ਪਾਣੀ ਉਸ ਨਦੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਵਗਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੀ ਧੌਣ ਤਾਈ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ ਡੋਬ ਹੀ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਇਮਾਨੂਏਲ, ਇਹ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਇੰਨਾ ਫ਼ੈਲ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਫ਼ੈਲ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
ਯਸਈਆਹ 10:11
ਮੈਂ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਮੈਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਬੁੱਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਹਰਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।’”
ਯਸਈਆਹ 36:1
ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਰਾਜੇ ਹਿਜ਼ਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਚੌਦ੍ਹਵੇਂ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਨਹੇਰੀਬ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਗਿਆ। ਸਨਹੇਰੀਬ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 5:10
“ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਅੰਗੂਰੀ ਵੇਲਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਕਿਆਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਜਾਵੋ। ਵੇਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਟ ਸੁੱਟੋ। (ਪਰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ।) ਕੱਟ ਦੇਵੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਟਾਹਣੀਆਂ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਟਾਹਣੀਆਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਮਲਕੀਅਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ।
