ਯਸਈਆਹ 9:1
ਇੱਕ ਨਵਾਂ ਦਿਵਸ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਪਿੱਛਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ, ਲੋਕ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਸਨ ਕਿ ਜ਼ੇਬੁਲੁਨ ਦਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਫ਼ਤਾਲੀ ਦਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿੱਚ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਰਦ ਦਾ ਅੰਤ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਮੀਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਬਣਾਵੇਗਾ: ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਦਾ ਦੇਸ਼, ਯੋਰਡਨ ਨਦੀ ਦਾ ਦੇਸ ਅਤੇ ਗਲੀਲੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਗ਼ੈਰ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸ਼ਲਮਨਸਰ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਸ਼ੇਆ ਉਸਦਾ ਦਾਸ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਲਮਨਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਭੇਟ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਟ, ਯਹੋਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਅਹਜ਼ਯਾਹ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਯੋਆਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਕਿ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਸਨ। ਯਹੋਆਸ਼ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਵਸਤਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਟ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਸਨ। ਜਿੰਨਾ ਸੋਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਿਲਿਆਂ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਇੱਕਤ੍ਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਤਾਂ ਇੰਝ ਹਜ਼ਾਏਲ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਜਦ ਅਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਰੋਗ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੇ, ਆਪਣਾ ਜ਼ਖਮ, ਉਹ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੱਜੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਮਹਾਨ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸੀਆਂ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਰਾਜਾ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਰਾਜੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ, ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਜ਼ਖਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਭਰ ਸੱਕੇਗਾ।
