ਅਸ਼ਦੋਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੀ ਭਾਣਾ ਵਰਤ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਇੱਥੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਟਿਕ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਤਾਂ ਹੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਦਾਗੋਨ ਨੂੰ ਦੰਡ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।”

ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉੱਜ਼ਾ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਕਰੋਪੀ ਵਿਖਾਈ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਕਰੋਧ ਆਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਕਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਹੁਣ ਤੀਕ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ “ਪਰਸ ਉੱਜ਼ਾ” ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਣਿਆਂ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

ਦਾਊਦ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਡਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗਾ, “ਹੁਣ ਇੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਲਿਆ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ?”

ਤਾਂ ਬੈਤਸ਼ਮਸ਼ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਭਲਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਕੀ ਮਜ਼ਾਲ ਹੈ ਕੋਈ ਇਸ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਸੱਕੇਗਾ, ਕੌਣ ਜਾਜਕ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੇ। ਇੱਥੇ ਇਹ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਕਿਸ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਵੇ?”

ਅਗਲੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਜਦ ਅਸ਼ਦੋਦੀ ਉੱਠੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਦਾਗੋਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਅੱਗੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਪਰਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਡਿੱਗਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ। ਤਾਂ ਅਸ਼ਦੋਦ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਦਾਗੋਨ ਦੇ ਬੁੱਤ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਵਾਪਸ ਉਸਦੀ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਸਾਨੂੰ ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਲੱਗਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਵਾਨ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਕੌਣ ਬਚਾਵੇਗਾ? ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਿਸਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਭ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਿਮਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਦੁੱਖ ਰੋਗ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਸਨ।

ਖ਼ਰੋਜ 12:33
ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੇਤੀ ਚੱਲੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਨਾ ਗਏ, ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੇ।”

ਖ਼ਰੋਜ 10:7
ਤਾਂ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਕਿੰਨਾ ਕੁ ਚਿਰ ਤੱਕ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਸੇ ਰਹਾਂਗੇ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਕੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਿਓ। ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣ ਦਿਉਂਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਮਿਸਰ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”

ਖ਼ਰੋਜ 9:28
ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗਰਜ ਅਤੇ ਗੜ੍ਹੇਮਾਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੋ ਕਿ ਤੂਫ਼ਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਈ ਲੋੜ ਨਹੀਂ।”

ਖ਼ਰੋਜ 8:28
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਫ਼ਿਰਊਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰੂਥਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਬਹੁਤੀ ਦੂਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਹੁਣ, ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ।”

ਯਰਮਿਆਹ 48:7
“ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਬਣਾਈਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਫ਼ੜੇ ਜਾਵੋਂਗੇ। ਕਮੋਸ਼ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਵੀ ਫ਼ੜੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
