ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਲੋਕ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਰੇਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਣਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਸੀ। ਲੋਕ ਖਾ-ਪੀ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਖੁਸ਼ ਸਨ।
