ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਤੀਜੇ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯਹੋਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਟ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਹਾਬ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ।

ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਉਪਰੰਤ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਬੀਯਾਹ। ਅਬੀਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਸਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਸਾ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਟ।

ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਯਹੋਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਟ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਸਾ ਦੀ ਥਾਵੇਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਹੋਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਟ ਨਵਾਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਿਆ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਕਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਤਗੜਾ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾ ਸੱਕੇ।
