ਉੱਥੇ ਕੁਝ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਜਦੋਂ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਦਦਗਾਰ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਰਹਬੁਆਮ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਲਾਹ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਣ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹੋਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਜਵਾਬ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ?”
