ਜਦੋਂ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡਿਆ, ਉੱਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਲੋਕੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਖੋਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਅ-ਜਾਨ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਸੀ, ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਭੇਟ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਣ।
