ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚਾਕਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਾਣ ਲਈ ਮਾਸ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਉੱਨ ਕੁਤਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਤੱਕ ਨਹੀਂ।”

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਦੋਂ ਵੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਕੋਈ ਅਵਸਰ ਹੋਵੇਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਚੰਗਾ ਕਰੀਏ। ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਹਨ।

ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਅਗਿਆਤ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਦਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਹਾਂ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਕਰਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਪਰ ਦੇਖੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਿਉਂ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ। ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਮਾਰੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਗਏ।

ਅਬੀਗੈਲ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਦੀ ਹੈ ਨਾਬਾਲ ਦੇ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਨੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਬੀਵੀ ਅਬੀਗੈਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਵੇਖੋ, ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਮਾਲਕ ਦੀ ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਪੁੱਛਣ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਹਲਕਾਰੇ ਭੇਜੇ ਸਨ ਪਰ ਨਾਬਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੜਾ ਮਾੜਾ ਪੇਸ਼ ਆਇਆ।

ਇਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ਨਾਬਾਲ ਸੀ। ਨਾਬਾਲ ਕਾਲੇਬ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਬੀਗੈਲ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਬੜੀ ਖੂਬਸੂਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਧੀਮਾਨ ਔਰਤ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਨਾਬਾਲ ਬੜਾ ਨਿਰਦਯੀ ਕਠੋਰ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਾਲਿਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੀ।

ਇੱਕ ਪੁਰਾਨੀ ਕਹਾਵਤ ਹੈ ਕਿ, ‘ਬੁਰਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬੁਰਾਈ ਹੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।’ “ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਾੜਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਮੈਂ ਬੁਰਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।

ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਕਦੇ ਨਾ ਸੋਚੋ, ‘ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਯੋਗਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਤਾਕਤ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਹਾਸਿਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।’
