ਬੁੱਢੇ ਨਬੀ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦੀ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹਾਏ ਓ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵਾ! ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਰਨ ਦਾ ਬੜਾ ਅਫ਼ਸੋਸ ਹੋਇਆ।”

ਸਾਰਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਤੇ ਵਿਰਲਾਪ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਫ਼ਨਾ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਤੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੀ ਹੈ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਉਹੀ ਇੱਕ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਕੁਝ ਚੰਗਾ ਲੱਭ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਸੀ।
