Numbers 17:3
ਲੇਵੀ ਦੀ ਸੋਟੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਖ। ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਸੋਟੀ ਹੋਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।

ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਜ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੂੰ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹ ਦੇ ਬੰਦੇ, ਹੁਣ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗਲਤ ਕਂਮਾ ਲਈ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰ ਹੋ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ।
Numbers 18:7
ਪਰ, ਹਾਰੂਨ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੀ ਜਾਜਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਹੀ ਹੋ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਅੱਤ ਪਾਵਨ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ। ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸੁਗਾਤ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ-ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਜਾਜਕ ਵਜੋਂ ਸੇਵਾ ਨੂੰ। ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਵੇਗਾ, ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਏਗਾ।”
