Nehemiah 4:14
ਮੈਂ ਸਾਰੀ ਸਬਿਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਪਰੱਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਮੈਂ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਸੱਜਣਾਂ, ਹਾਕਮਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਖਾਤਬ ਹੋਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸਾਡੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਡਰੋ ਨਾ। ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖੋ! ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ, ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਧੀਆਂ ਖਾਤਿਰ ਲੜਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਲੜਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।”

| unto | אֶל | ʾel | el |
| the nobles, | הַֽחֹרִ֤ים | haḥōrîm | ha-hoh-REEM |
| and to | וְאֶל | wĕʾel | veh-EL |
| rulers, the | הַסְּגָנִים֙ | hassĕgānîm | ha-seh-ɡa-NEEM |
| and to | וְאֶל | wĕʾel | veh-EL |
| the rest | יֶ֣תֶר | yeter | YEH-ter |
| people, the of | הָעָ֔ם | hāʿām | ha-AM |
| Be not | אַל | ʾal | al |
| ye afraid | תִּֽירְא֖וּ | tîrĕʾû | tee-reh-OO |
| of | מִפְּנֵיהֶ֑ם | mippĕnêhem | mee-peh-nay-HEM |
| them: remember | אֶת | ʾet | et |
| אֲדֹנָ֞י | ʾădōnāy | uh-doh-NAI | |
| the Lord, | הַגָּד֤וֹל | haggādôl | ha-ɡa-DOLE |
| great is which | וְהַנּוֹרָא֙ | wĕhannôrāʾ | veh-ha-noh-RA |
| and terrible, | זְכֹ֔רוּ | zĕkōrû | zeh-HOH-roo |
| and fight | וְהִֽלָּחֲמ֗וּ | wĕhillāḥămû | veh-hee-la-huh-MOO |
| for | עַל | ʿal | al |
| your brethren, | אֲחֵיכֶם֙ | ʾăḥêkem | uh-hay-HEM |
| your sons, | בְּנֵיכֶ֣ם | bĕnêkem | beh-nay-HEM |
| daughters, your and | וּבְנֹֽתֵיכֶ֔ם | ûbĕnōtêkem | oo-veh-noh-tay-HEM |
| your wives, | נְשֵׁיכֶ֖ם | nĕšêkem | neh-shay-HEM |
| and your houses. | וּבָֽתֵּיכֶֽם׃ | ûbāttêkem | oo-VA-tay-HEM |
