Nehemiah 10:30
“ਅਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਵਚਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਇਸ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ, ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਧੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਰਾਂਗੇ।

| of the land, | הָאָ֑רֶץ | hāʾāreṣ | ha-AH-rets |
| nor | וְאֶת | wĕʾet | veh-ET |
| take | בְּנֹ֣תֵיהֶ֔ם | bĕnōtêhem | beh-NOH-tay-HEM |
| their daughters | לֹ֥א | lōʾ | loh |
| for our sons: | נִקַּ֖ח | niqqaḥ | nee-KAHK |
| לְבָנֵֽינוּ׃ | lĕbānênû | leh-va-NAY-noo |
