Matthew 4 - ASV (Punjabi)

1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਪਰਤਾਇਆ ਜਾਣਾ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਪਰਤਿਆਏ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਉਜਾੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤੀ।

2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he afterward hungered.ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਚਾਲੀ ਦਿਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਤਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਖਾਧਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਖ ਲੱਗੀ।

3 And the tempter came and said unto him, If thou art the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.ਤਾਂ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਤਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤਾਂ ਕਹਿ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਪੱਥਰ ਰੋਟੀਆਂ ਬਣ ਜਾਣ।”

4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਇਹ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ: ‘ਇਨਸਾਨ ਨਿਰੀ ਰੋਟੀ ਤੇ ਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਉਸ ਹਰੇਕ ਵਾਕ ਉੱਪਰ ਨਿਰਭਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਨਿਕਲਦਾ ਹੈ।’”

5 Then the devil taketh him into the holy city; and he set him on the pinnacle of the temple,ਫੇਰ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਬੜੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ,

6 and saith unto him, If thou art the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and, On their hands they shall bear thee up, Lest haply thou dash thy foot against a stone.“ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਡੇਗ ਦੇ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ, ‘ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਹੁਕਮ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਚੁੱਕ ਲੈਣਗੇ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਪੱਥਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰ ਵੱਜਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾ ਸੱਕੇਂ।’”

7 Jesus said unto him, Again it is written, Thou shalt not make trial of the Lord thy God.ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ‘ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰਤਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।’”

8 Again, the devil taketh him unto an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;ਫੇਰ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਪਹਾੜ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਗਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਲੌਂ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ।

9 and he said unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਝੁਕ ਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕੇਂ ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।”

10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ! ਤੂੰ ਇੱਥੋਂ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਜਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ‘ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਇੱਕਲੇ ਦੀ ਹੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰ।’”

11 Then the devil leaveth him; and behold, angels came and ministered unto him.ਤਦ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਦੂਤ ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਉਸਦੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਏ।

12 Now when he heard that John was delivered up, he withdrew into Galilee;ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਗਲੀਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਮ ਅਰੰਭਿਆ ਜਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਕੈਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਗਲੀਲ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।

13 and leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the borders of Zebulun and Naphtali:ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਾਸਰਤ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਫ਼ਰਨਾਹੂਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਹਾ। ਇਹ ਨਗਰ ਇੱਕ ਝੀਲ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਹੈ। ਕਫ਼ਰਨਾਹੂਮ ਜ਼ਬੂਲੂਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਫ਼ਥਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ।

14 that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying,ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਯਸਾਯਾਹ ਨਬੀ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਪੂਰਾ ਹੋਵੇ।

15 The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, Toward the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles,“ਜ਼ਬੂਲੂਨ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਨਫ਼ਥਾਲੀ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ, ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ, ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਰ, ਗ਼ੈਰ-ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ, ਗਲੀਲ

16 The people that sat in darkness Saw a great light, And to them that sat in the region and shadow of death, To them did light spring up.ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਡਾ ਚਾਨਣ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ; ਚਾਨਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਕਬਰਾਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ।”

17 From that time began Jesus to preach, and to say, Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲੋ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਸਵਰਗ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਨੇੜੇ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।”

18 And walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brethren, Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishers.ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਚੇਲੇ ਚੁਣੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਗਲੀਲ ਝੀਲ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਘੁੰਮ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਸ਼ਮਊਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਪਤਰਸ ਕਹਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਅੰਦ੍ਰਿਯਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਉਹ ਮਾਛੀ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਜਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਮੱਛੀਆਂ ਫ਼ੜ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।

19 And he saith unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you fishers of men.ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਮਗਰ ਆਓ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਮਾਛੀ ਬਣਾਵਾਂਗਾ।”

20 And they straightway left the nets, and followed him.ਤੁਰੰਤ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਜਾਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਹੋ ਤੁਰੇ।

21 And going on from thence he saw two other brethren, James the `son' of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.ਯਿਸੂ ਗਲੀਲੀ ਝੀਲ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਹੋਰ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਜੋ ਕੇ ਜ਼ਬਦੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਉ ਨਾਲ ਬੇੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ, ਜਾਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦਿਆ

22 And they straightway left the boat and their father, and followed him.ਉਹ ਝੱਟ ਬੇੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਉ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਹੋ ਤੁਰੇ।

23 And Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease and all manner of sickness among the people.ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਯਿਸੂ ਸਾਰੀ ਗਲੀਲੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਿਰਿਆ। ਯਿਸੂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਰਗ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਰੋਗ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਮਾਂਦਗੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਟਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ।

24 And the report of him went forth into all Syria: and they brought unto him all that were sick, holden with divers diseases and torments, possessed with demons, and epileptic, and palsied; and he healed them.ਯਿਸੂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਮੁੱਚੇ ਸੁਰੀਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਫ਼ੈਲ ਗਈ। ਲੋਕ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਗੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਦਰਦ ਝੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੂਤ ਚਿੰਬੜੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ, ਮਿਰਗੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਧਰੰਗੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਏ। ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰੋਗੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਕੀਤਾ।

25 And there followed him great multitudes from Galilee and Decapolis and Jerusalem and Judaea and `from' beyond the Jordan.ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਭੀੜਾਂ ਗਲੀਲ, ਦਿਕਾਪੁਲਿਸ, ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ, ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਰੋਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਲੱਗ ਪਈਆਂ।
