Matthew 27:44
ਜੋ ਡਾਕੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਲੀਬ ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਏ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਬੇਇੱਜ਼ਤੀ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਆਖੇ।

ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਆਸੇ-ਪਾਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੋ ਜਣਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਲੀਬ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਗਈ ਸੀ। ਇੱਕ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਖੱਬੇ ਪਾਸੇ।

ਦੋਨਾਂ ਅਪਰਾਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀ ਬੇਇੱਜ਼ਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਬੋਲਿਆ, “ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਮਸੀਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ? ਜੇ ਤੂੰ ਮਸੀਹ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਬਚਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਬਚਾ!”
