ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਬੇੜੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ, ਕਬਰਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਾ ਚਿੰਬੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ।

ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, “ਤੂੰ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਾ, ਇਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਆ ਜਾ।”

ਫ਼ੇਰ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਬਣੀ ਛੇੜੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਾ ਉੱਚੀ-ਉੱਚੀ ਚੀਕਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿਕਲ ਆਇਆ।

ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮੇ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਹੈ।

ਬੀਜ ਬੀਜਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਿਸਾਨ ਦੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਂਤ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਰ ਸਮੇਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਝੀਲ ਦੇ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੁਹਤ ਸਾਰੀ ਭੀੜ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਗਿਰਦ ਜੁੜ ਗਈ। ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਬੇੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੜ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਗਿਆ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਝੀਲ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਬੈਠ ਗਿਆ। ਬਾਕੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਝੀਲ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਪਰ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਰਹੇ।

ਇੱਕ ਔਰਤ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਛੋਟੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਕੁੜੀ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਈ ਜਿਸ ਅੰਦਰ ਇੱਕ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਾ ਸੀ। ਔਰਤ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚਰਣਾਂ ਤੇ ਝੁਕੀ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਣਾਮ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਬੇੜੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਤਰਿਆ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੂਤ ਚਿੰਬੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਬੜੇ ਲੰਬੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੋਈ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹਿਨੇ ਸਨ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਕਬਰਸਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ।

ਜਦੋਂ ਬਾਲਕ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਭੂਤ ਨੇ ਬਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਰਗੀ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਤੇ ਪਟਕਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਬਾਲਕ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਤੇ ਕਾਬੂ ਗੁਆ ਬੈਠਾ ਪਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਭਰਿਸ਼ਟ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਝਿੜਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਰਾਜੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਲਕ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
