Mark 10 - YLT (Punjabi)

1 And having risen thence, he doth come to the coasts of Judea, through the other side of the Jordan, and again do multitudes come together unto him, and, as he had been accustomed, again he was teaching them.ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਤਲਾਕ ਬਾਰੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਦਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਰ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ। ਉੱਥੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਲੋਕ ਇੱਕਤ੍ਰ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਵਾਂਗ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਣ ਲੱਗਾ।

2 And the Pharisees, having come near, questioned him, if it is lawful for a husband to put away a wife, tempting him,ਕੁਝ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹੋ ਕੁਝ ਗਲਤ ਆਖੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਕੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਵਾਜਿਬ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਾਕ ਦੇਵੇ?”

3 and he answering said to them, `What did Moses command you?'ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ?”

4 and they said, `Moses suffered to write a bill of divorce, and to put away.'ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਾਕਨਾਮਾ ਲਿਖਕੇ ਤਲਾਕ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।”

5 And Jesus answering said to them, `For the stiffness of your heart he wrote you this command,ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਹੁਕਮ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਦਿਲ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਸਨ।

6 but from the beginning of the creation, a male and a female God did make them;ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਜਿਆ, ‘ਉਸਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਰ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਰੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ।’

7 on this account shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave unto his wife,‘ਇਸੇ ਲਈ, ਮਰਦ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਂ-ਬਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

8 and they shall be -- the two -- for one flesh; so that they are no more two, but one flesh;ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਸਰੀਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵਣਗੇ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਦੋ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਹੋਣਗੇ।’

9 what therefore God did join together, let not man put asunder.'ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਵੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ।”

10 And in the house again his disciples of the same thing questioned him,ਬਾਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਦੋਂ ਚੇਲੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਾਕ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ ਤਾਂ

11 and he saith to them, `Whoever may put away his wife, and may marry another, doth commit adultery against her;ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਾਕ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਸਰੀ ਔਰਤ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬਦਕਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

12 and if a woman may put away her husband, and is married to another, she committeth adultery.'ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਔਰਤ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਰਦ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਾਕ ਦਿੰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਮਰਦ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਪਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਦਕਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ।”

13 And they were bringing to him children, that he might touch them, and the disciples were rebuking those bringing them,ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਵੀਕਾਰਨਾ ਲੋਕੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਆ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਛੋਹਵੇ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਵਰਿਜਆ।

14 and Jesus having seen, was much displeased, and he said to them, `Suffer the children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the reign of God;ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਉਂ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਮਾੜਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਛੋਟੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਉਣ ਦੇਵੋ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕੋ ਨਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ।

15 verily I say to you, whoever may not receive the reign of God, as a child -- he may not enter into it;'ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਲਕ ਵਾਂਗ ਕਬੂਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਉਹ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ।”

16 and having taken them in his arms, having put `his' hands upon them, he was blessing them.ਤਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਛੜ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸੀਸ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

17 And as he is going forth into the way, one having run and having kneeled to him, was questioning him, `Good teacher, what may I do, that life age-during I may inherit?'ਇੱਕ ਅਮੀਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਦਾ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਉਹ ਥਾਂ ਛੱਡਣ ਹੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ, ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਝੁਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਸਤਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ, ਮੈਂ ਸਦੀਵੀ ਜੀਵਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੀ ਕਰਾਂ?”

18 And Jesus said to him, `Why me dost thou call good? no one `is' good except One -- God;ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕਿਉਂ ਬੁਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ? ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਤਿ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਕੇਵਲ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੀ ਸਤਿ ਹੈ।

19 the commands thou hast known: Thou mayest not commit adultery, Thou mayest do no murder, Thou mayest not steal, Thou mayest not bear false witness, Thou mayest not defraud, Honour thy father and mother.'ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਵਾਲ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ। ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਨੇਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਮਾਰੋ, ਬਦਕਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਪਾਪ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਚੋਰੀ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਝੂਠੀ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਨਾ ਦੇਵੋ, ਧੋਖਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਅਤੇ ‘ਆਪਣੇ ਮਾਤਾ-ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾ ਆਦਰ-ਮਾਣ ਕਰੋ।’”

20 And he answering said to him, `Teacher, all these did I keep from my youth.'ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ, ਮੈਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਦ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਲੇ ਬੱਚਾ ਹੀ ਸੀ।”

21 And Jesus having looked upon him, did love him, and said to him, `One thing thou dost lack; go away, whatever thou hast -- sell, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven, and come, be following me, having taken up the cross.'ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਵੱਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਅਜੇ ਵੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਚੀਜ਼ ਕਰਨੀ ਬਾਕੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਇਹ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਹੈ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਵੇਚਦੇ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰਾ ਧਨ ਤੂੰ ਗਰੀਬਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੰਡਦੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸਦਾ ਫ਼ਲ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਆਕੇ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਹੋ ਤੁਰ।”

22 And he -- gloomy at the word -- went away sorrowing, for he was having many possessions.ਪਰ ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਨਿਰਾਸ਼ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਨਾਲ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਧਨਵਾਨ ਸੀ।

23 And Jesus having looked round, saith to his disciples, `How hardly shall they who have riches enter into the reign of God!'ਤਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਅਮੀਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨਾ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਔਖਾ ਹੈ।”

24 And the disciples were astonished at his words, and Jesus again answering saith to them, `Children, how hard is it to those trusting on the riches to enter into the reign of God!ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਕਥਨ ਤੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਬੜੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋਏ ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਬਚਿਓ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਿਲ ਹੋਣਾ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਔਖਾ ਹੈ!

25 It is easier for a camel through the eye of the needle to enter, than for a rich man to enter into the reign of God.'ਸੂਈ ਦੇ ਨੱਕੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਊਠ ਦਾ ਲੰਘਣਾ ਸੌਖਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਧਨਵਾਨ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਣਾ ਔਖਾ ਹੈ!”

26 And they were astonished beyond measure, saying unto themselves, `And who is able to be saved?'ਚੇਲੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਿਆਦਾ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋਏ ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗੇ, “ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਕੌਣ ਬਚ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ?”

27 And Jesus, having looked upon them, saith, `With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God.'ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਅਸੰਭਵ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਾਲ ਸੰਭਵ ਹੈ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਸੰਭਵ ਹੈ।”

28 And Peter began to say to him, `Lo, we left all, and we followed thee.'ਪਤਰਸ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਅਨੁਸਰਣ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤਿਆਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।”

29 And Jesus answering said, `Verily I say to you, there is no one who left house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or fields, for my sake, and for the good news',ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਂ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਘਰ, ਭਰਾ-ਭੈਣਾਂ, ਮਾਂ-ਬਾਪ ਬੱਚੇ ਜਾਂ ਖੇਤ ਛੱਡੇ ਹਨ, ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਸੌ ਗੁਣਾ ਵੱਧ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰੇਗਾ।

30 who may not receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brothers, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and fields, with persecutions, and in the age that is coming, life age-during;ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਘਰ, ਭਰਾ-ਭੈਣਾ, ਮਾਂ-ਬਾਪ, ਬੱਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਦੰਡ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ ਪਰ ਅਗਲੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਵੀ ਮਿਲੇਗਾ।

31 and many first shall be last, and the last first.'ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਰੁਤਬਾ ਇਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਬੜਾ ਉੱਚਾ ਹੈ, ਭਵਿੱਖ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਰੁਤਬਾ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਨੀਵੇਂ ਦਰਜੇ ਦਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਰੁਤਬਾ ਇਸ ਵਕਤ ਬਹੁਤ ਨੀਵਾਂ ਹੈ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੜੇ ਉੱਚੇ ਰੁਤਬੇ ਦੇ ਹੋਣਗੇ।”

32 And they were in the way going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was going before them, and they were amazed, and following they were afraid. And having again taken the twelve, he began to tell them the things about to happen to him,ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੌਤ ਬਾਰੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੋਕ ਵੀ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਚੱਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਮਗਰ ਤੁਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਉਹ ਡਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕਲਿਆਂ ਬੁਲਾਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ ਵਾਪਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

33 -- `Lo, we go up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man shall be delivered to the chief priests, and to the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, and shall deliver him to the nations,ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ। ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਗੈਰ-ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਗੇ।

34 and they shall mock him, and scourge him, and spit on him, and kill him, and the third day he shall rise again.'ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਉਸਦਾ ਮਜ਼ਾਕ ਉਡਾਉਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਥੁਕਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋੜਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਨੋ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਣਗੇ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਤੀਜੇ ਦਿਨ ਪਿੱਛੋਂ ਫਿਰ ਜੀਅ ਉੱਠੇਗਾ।”

35 And there come near to him James and John, the sons of Zebedee, saying, `Teacher, we wish that whatever we may ask for ourselves, thou mayest do for us;'ਯਾਕੂਬ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਦਾ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਮਦਦ ਮੰਗਣਾ ਤਦ ਜ਼ਬਦੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਣਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗੇ, “ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ! ਅਸੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨੀ ਕਰੋ।”

36 and he said to them, `What do ye wish me to do for you?'ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਕੀ ਕਰਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ?”

37 and they said to him, `Grant to us that, one on thy right hand and one on thy left, we may sit in thy glory;'ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਚਨ ਦੇ ਕਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ, ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਖੱਬੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਬੈਠੇ!”

38 and Jesus said to them, `Ye have not known what ye ask; are ye able to drink of the cup that I drink of, and with the baptism that I am baptized with -- to be baptized?'ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਨਹੀ ਪਤਾ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੀ ਮੰਗ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ। ਕੀ ਜਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਝੱਲਣੇ ਪੈ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਓਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਹਾਰਣ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋ? ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਮੈਂ ਲੈਣਾ ਹੈ, ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹੋ ਜਿਹਾ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲੈ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ?”

39 And they said to him, `We are able;' and Jesus said to them, `Of the cup indeed that I drink of, ye shall drink, and with the baptism that I am baptized with, ye shall be baptized;ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹਾਂ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ!” ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤਕਲੀਫ਼ਾਂ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਮੈਂ ਗੁਜਰਾਂਗਾ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਗੁਜਰੋਂਗੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਮੈਂ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਲਵੋਂਗੇ।

40 but to sit on my right and on my left, is not mine to give, but -- to those for whom it hath been prepared.'ਪਰ ਕੌਣ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਅਤੇ ਖੱਬੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਬੈਠੇਗਾ ਇਸਦਾ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ! ਇਹ ਜਗ੍ਹਾਵਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਰੱਖੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।”

41 And the ten having heard, began to be much displeased at James and John,ਬਾਕੀ ਦਸ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਤੇ ਕਰੋਧ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ

42 but Jesus having called them near, saith to them, `Ye have known that they who are considered to rule the nations do exercise lordship over them, and their great ones do exercise authority upon them;ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਾਕਮ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇ ਦਬਦਬਾ ਰੱਖਣਾ ਪਸੰਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਆਗੂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਇਸਤੇਮਾਲ ਕਰਨਾ ਪਸੰਦ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।

43 but not so shall it be among you; but whoever may will to become great among you, he shall be your minister,ਪਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ। ਸਗੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਹੋਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

44 and whoever of you may will to become first, he shall be servant of all;ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਵੱਡਾ ਬਨਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨੋਕਰ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਭ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।

45 for even the Son of Man came not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.'ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਆਇਆ ਪਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ।”

46 And they come to Jericho, and as he is going forth from Jericho, with his disciples and a great multitude, a son of Timaeus -- Bartimaeus the blind -- was sitting beside the way begging,ਯਿਸੂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਕਰਨਾ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਯਰੀਹੋ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ। ਜਦ ਉਹ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਯਰੀਹੋ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਜਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਇੱਕ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਆਦਮੀ (ਤਮਈ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ) ਬਰਤਿਮਈ ਸੜਕ ਦੇ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੜਕ ਕੰਢੇ ਬੈਠ ਭੀਖ ਮੰਗ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

47 and having heard that it is Jesus the Nazarene, he began to cry out, and to say, `The Son of David -- Jesus! deal kindly with me;'ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਨਾਸਰੀ ਇਧਰ ਦੀ ਲੰਘ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀ-ਉੱਚੀ ਰੌਲਾ ਪਾਉਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਯਿਸੂ, ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ! ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ।”

48 and many were rebuking him, that he might keep silent, but the more abundantly he cried out, `Son of David, deal kindly with me.'ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੌਲਾ ਪਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਝਿੜਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਚੁੱਪ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਕਿਹਾ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦੀ ਰੌਲਾ ਪਾਇਆ, “ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰ।”

49 And Jesus having stood, he commanded him to be called, and they call the blind man, saying to him, `Take courage, rise, he doth call thee;'ਯਿਸੂ ਉੱਥੇ ਰੁਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਹੋ, ਇਧਰ ਆਵੇ!” ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋ! ਅਤੇ ਖਲੋ ਜਾ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ।”

50 and he, having cast away his garment, having risen, did come unto Jesus.ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਆਦਮੀ ਫ਼ਟਾ-ਫ਼ਟ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੱਪੜਾ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਆ ਗਿਆ।

51 And answering, Jesus saith to him, `What wilt thou I may do to thee?' and the blind man said to him, `Rabboni, that I may see again;'ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਥੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਲਈ ਕੀ ਕਰਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈਂ?” ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਗੁਰੂ, ਮੈਂ ਮੁੜ ਤੋਂ ਵੇਖਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।”

52 and Jesus said to him, `Go, thy faith hath saved thee:' and immediately he saw again, and was following Jesus in the way.ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਜਾ, ਤੇਰੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਹੈ।” ਤਦ ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੋਬਾਰਾ ਵੇਖਣ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਰਸਤੇ ਉਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਤੁਰ ਪਿਆ।
