ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰਸੂਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਹਿਦਾਇਤਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਗੈਰ-ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਮਰੀਆ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਨਾ ਕਰਨਾ।
ਲੋਕਾ 10:1
ਯਿਸੂ ਵੱਲੋਂ 72 ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭੇਜੇ ਜਾਣੇ ਇਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ 72 ਹੋਰ ਆਦਮੀ ਚੁਣੇ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੋ-ਦੋ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤਾ। ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰੇ ਨਗਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅੱਗੇ-ਅੱਗੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਖੁਦ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ।
ਲੋਕਾ 10:33
“ਉਸ ਰਾਹ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਮਰੀ ਆਇਆ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਅੱਧ ਮੋਇਆ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬੇਹਾਲ ਪਿਆ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਤਰਸ ਖਾਧਾ।

ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਬਾਬਲ, ਕੂਥਾਹ, ਅੱਵਾ ਅਤੇ ਹਮਾਥ ਅਤੇ ਸਫ਼ਰਵਇਮ ਦਿਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆ ਕੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਜਗ੍ਹਾ ਵਸਾਇਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਮੱਲ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ।
ਯੂਹੰਨਾ 8:48
ਯਿਸੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਕੀ ਅਸੀਂ ਠੀਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸਾਮਰੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਇੱਕ ਭੂਤ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।”

ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਪੁਨਰ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਸਨ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜੋ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨਿਕਾਲੇ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਮੁੜੇ ਸਨ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਮੰਦਰ ਉਸਾਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਤਾਂ ਇਹ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਜ਼ਰੂੱਬਾਬਲ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਸਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸਾਰਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਮਦਦ ਕਰਨ ਦੇਵੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਾਂਗ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਲੋਚਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ, ਏਸਰ ਹਦਨ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ, ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਆ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਸੀ।”
ਮਲਾਕੀ 3:1
ਸਰਬ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ: “ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਦੂਤ ਭੇਜ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਰਾਹ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰੇ। ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਜਿਸ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਭਾਲਦੇ ਹੋ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਹਾਂ, ਉਹ ਨਵੇਂ ਨੇਮ ਦਾ ਦੂਤ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਲੋਕਾ 7:27
ਇਹ ਉਹੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ: ‘ਸੁਣੋ! ਮੈਂ, ਆਪਣਾ ਦੂਤ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ-ਅੱਗੇ ਭੇਜਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਰਾਹ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰੇਗਾ।’
