ਉੱਥੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਨੇ ਚਾਲੀ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਪਰੱਖਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਉਨੇ ਦਿਨ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਧਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਸਮਾਂ ਖਤਮ ਹੋਇਆ, ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੜੀ ਭੁੱਖ ਲੱਗੀ।
