ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਲੀਬ ਤੋਂ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਲਾਹਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਸਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਪੇਟਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਾਇਆ, ਜਿਹੜੀ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਰਾਸ਼ੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ। ਇਸਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਉਸ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
