ਫ਼ਲਹੀਣ ਰੁੱਖ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਂਤ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਕੋਲ ਬਾਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਅੰਜੀਰ ਦਾ ਰੁੱਖ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਰੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਲ ਦਿਸੇ, ਪਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਫ਼ਲ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਨਾ ਆਇਆ।
