ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਦਾ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਕਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਆ ਗਿਆ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਨਿਰੋਗ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਸਰਦਾਰ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਛੇ ਦਿਨ ਕੰਮ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਸੋ ਠੀਕ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਵੋ। ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਕੋਈ ਠੀਕ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਇੱਥੇ ਨਾ ਆਵੇ।”
