Leviticus 23:40
ਪਹਿਲੇ ਦਿਨ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਫ਼ਲਦਾਰ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਫ਼ਲ ਅਤੇ ਨਦੀ ਕੰਢੇ ਉੱਗੇ ਹੋਏ ਖਜ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ, ਪੋਪਲਰ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਲੋ ਦੇ ਰੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਟਾਹਣੀਆਂ ਲਵੋਂਗੇ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੱਤਾਂ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੀਕ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਜਸ਼ਨ ਮਨਾਉਂਗੇ।

| of thick | וַֽעֲנַ֥ף | waʿănap | va-uh-NAHF |
| trees, | עֵץ | ʿēṣ | ayts |
| willows and | עָבֹ֖ת | ʿābōt | ah-VOTE |
| of the brook; | וְעַרְבֵי | wĕʿarbê | veh-ar-VAY |
| rejoice shall ye and | נָ֑חַל | nāḥal | NA-hahl |
| before | וּשְׂמַחְתֶּ֗ם | ûśĕmaḥtem | oo-seh-mahk-TEM |
