Leviticus 11:40
ਉਹ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਇਸ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਦਾ ਮਾਸ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਧੋ ਲੈਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਤੱਕ ਨਾਪਾਕ ਰਹੇਗਾ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਦੇ ਮੁਰਦਾ ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਧੋ ਲੈਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਹ ਸ਼ਾਮ ਤੀਕ ਨਾਪਾਕ ਰਹੇਗਾ।

| of the carcase | מִנִּבְלָתָ֔הּ | minniblātāh | mee-neev-la-TA |
| wash shall it of | יְכַבֵּ֥ס | yĕkabbēs | yeh-ha-BASE |
| his clothes, | בְּגָדָ֖יו | bĕgādāyw | beh-ɡa-DAV |
| unclean be and | וְטָמֵ֣א | wĕṭāmēʾ | veh-ta-MAY |
| until | עַד | ʿad | ad |
| the even: | הָעָ֑רֶב | hāʿāreb | ha-AH-rev |
| beareth that also he | וְהַנֹּשֵׂא֙ | wĕhannōśēʾ | veh-ha-noh-SAY |
| אֶת | ʾet | et | |
| the carcase | נִבְלָתָ֔הּ | niblātāh | neev-la-TA |
| wash shall it of | יְכַבֵּ֥ס | yĕkabbēs | yeh-ha-BASE |
| his clothes, | בְּגָדָ֖יו | bĕgādāyw | beh-ɡa-DAV |
