Lamentations 1:2
ਰਾਤ ਵੇਲੇ ਇਹ ਨਗਰੀ ਬੁਰੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਰੋਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੰਝੂ ਹਨ। ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਹੌਂਸਲਾ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ। ਬਹੁਤ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਇਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਸਨ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਕੂਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੰਦੀ। ਸਾਰੇ ਮਿੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਮੋੜ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ। ਦੋਸਤ ਵੀ ਇਸਦੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਨੇ।
