ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਚੇਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਿਹਾ, ਹਾਲਾਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮੂਹ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ।
