ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ, ਆਪਣੇ ਬੰਦਿਆਂ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਇੱਕ ਐਲਾਨ ਕਰ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖ, ‘ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵੀ ਭੈਭੀਤ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਪਰਬਤ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਜਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਬੇਸ਼ਕ ਘਰ ਚੱਲਾ ਜਾਵੇ।’” ਉਸੇ ਸਮੇਂ 22,000 ਬੰਦੇ ਗਿਦਾਊਨ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ। ਪਰ 10,000 ਹਾਲੇ ਵੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਰੁਕੇ ਰਹੇ।

saying,	לֵאמֹ֔ר	lēʾmōr	lay-MORE
Whosoever	מִֽי	mî	mee
is fearful	יָרֵ֣א	yārēʾ	ya-RAY
afraid, and	וְחָרֵ֔ד	wĕḥārēd	veh-ha-RADE
let him return	יָשֹׁ֥ב	yāšōb	ya-SHOVE
early depart and	וְיִצְפֹּ֖ר	wĕyiṣpōr	veh-yeets-PORE
from mount	מֵהַ֣ר	mēhar	may-HAHR
Gilead.	הַגִּלְעָ֑ד	haggilʿād	ha-ɡeel-AD
And there returned	וַיָּ֣שָׁב	wayyāšob	va-YA-shove
of	מִן	min	meen
people the	הָעָ֗ם	hāʿām	ha-AM
twenty	עֶשְׂרִ֤ים	ʿeśrîm	es-REEM
and two	וּשְׁנַ֙יִם֙	ûšĕnayim	oo-sheh-NA-YEEM
thousand;	אֶ֔לֶף	ʾelep	EH-lef
remained there and	וַֽעֲשֶׂ֥רֶת	waʿăśeret	va-uh-SEH-ret
ten	אֲלָפִ֖ים	ʾălāpîm	uh-la-FEEM
thousand.	נִשְׁאָֽרוּ׃	nišʾārû	neesh-ah-ROO
