ਫ਼ੇਰ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ 5,000 ਆਦਮੀ ਚੁਣੇ। ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਪੱਛਮ ਵਾਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਬੈਤਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਅਈ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਜਾਕੇ ਛੁਪ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
