Joshua 7:1
ਆਕਾਨ ਦਾ ਪਾਪ ਪਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਮੰਨਿਆ। ਉੱਥੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੀ ਆਕਾਨ ਵਲਦ ਕਰਮੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਜ਼ਬਦੀ ਦਾ ਪੋਤਾ ਸੀ। ਆਕਾਨ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਉਹ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਰੱਖ ਲਈਆਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਬਾਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਕਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਦੀ ਹਰ ਸ਼ੈਅ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਹੈ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਵੇਸਵਾ ਰਾਹਾਬ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਜਿਉਂਦੇ ਬਚਣਗੇ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਨਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਜਾਵੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਰਾਹਾਬ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਜਸੂਸਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ।

1 Corinthians 5:1
ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਨੈਤਿਕ ਸਮੱਸਿਆ ਲੋਕ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਆਖ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚਕਾਰ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਜੋ ਅਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸੀ ਹਨ। ਲੋਕੀਂ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਕਿਸੇ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਗੁਨਾਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
Jonah 1:7
ਤੂਫ਼ਾਨ ਆਉਣ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਣ? ਤਦ ਆਦਮੀ ਇੱਕ-ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗੇ, “ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਣ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਗੁਣੇ ਸੁੱਟਣੇ ਚਾਹੀਦੇ ਹਨ।” ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਗੁਣੇ ਪਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਣਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਮੁਸੀਬਤ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਣ ਯੂਨਾਹ ਸੀ।
Daniel 9:7

ਦਾਊਦ ਨੇ ਸੈਨਾ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਫੈਸਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫੇਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉੱਪਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਮੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਕਰ।”
Joshua 22:18
ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਵੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹੀ ਗੱਲ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ! ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਖ਼ਿਲਾਫ਼ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ! ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਲੱਗਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ? ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨੋ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਟੋਂਗੇ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਬੰਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਾਰਾਜ਼ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

“ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਦੇ ਹਨ: ‘ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਕੀਤਾ? ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹੋ? ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਖਾਤਿਰ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਬਣਾਈ? ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਵਿਦ੍ਰੋਹ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ!
