ਉਸ ਦੇ ਮਾਪਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ, ਕਿਉ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਡਰਦੇ ਸਨ। ਯਹੂਦੀ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਫ਼ੈਸਲਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਦੇਣਗੇ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਆਖੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਹੈ।
