Job 11:1-19 in Punjabi

1 Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

2 Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?

3 Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?

4 For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.

5 But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;

6 And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.

7 Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?

8 It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?

9 The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.

10 If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?

11 For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider it?

12 For vain man would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass’s colt.

13 If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him;

14 If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.

15 For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:

16 Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:

17 And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.

18 And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.

19 Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.

1 ਸੋਫਰ ਅੱਯੂਬ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਫੇਰ ਨਅਮਾਬੀ ਸੋਫਰ ਨੇ ਅੱਯੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਜਵਾਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ,
Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,

2 “ਕੀ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਦੀ ਇਸ ਹਨੇ੍ਹਰੀ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ! ਕੀ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਅੱਯੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਠੀਕ ਸਿੱਧ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ? ਨਹੀਂ!
Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?

3 ਅੱਯੂਬ ਤੇਰਾ ਕੀ ਖਿਆਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਜਵਾਬ ਨਹੀਂ? ਤੇਰਾ ਕੀ ਖਿਆਲ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਝਿੜਕੇਗਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਮਜ਼ਾਕ ਉਡਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ?

4 ਅੱਯੂਬ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਦਲੀਲਾਂ ਠੀਕ ਨੇ ਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੇਖ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਹਾਂ।
For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.

5 ਅੱਯੂਬ, ਮੇਰੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਜਵਾਬ ਦੇ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਤੇ ਦੱਸ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਗਲਤ ਹੈਂ।
But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;

6 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਦਾ ਰਹੱਸ ਦੱਸ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਉਹ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਕਿ ਹਰ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਦੋ ਪਾਸੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਨੇ। ਅੱਯੂਬ ਸੁਣ ਮੇਰੀ ਗੱਲ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਓਨੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਜਿੰਨੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੇਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ।”
And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.

7 “ਅੱਯੂਬ ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਸੋਚਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈਂ? ਤੂੰ ਸਰਬ-ਸ਼ਕਤੀਮਾਨ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕਦਾ?
Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?

8 ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਜੋ ਉੱਪਰ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ! ਤੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਦੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ।
It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?

9 ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਧਰਤੀ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਡੇਰਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰਾਂ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੱਡੇਰਾ ਹੈ।
The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.

10 “ਜੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਗਿਰਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕਰ ਲਵੇ ਤੇ ਕਚਿਹਰੀ ਅੰਦਰ ਲੈ ਆਵੇ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੋਕ ਸੱਕਦਾ।
If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?

11 ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਜਾਣਦਾ, ਕਿ ਕੌਣ ਨਿਕਂਮਾ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਬਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider it?

12 ਇੱਕ ਜੰਗਲੀ ਗਧਾ ਇਨਸਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਜਨਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਤੇ ਮੂਰਖ ਬੰਦਾ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
For vain man would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass’s colt.

13 ਪਰ ਅੱਯੂਬ, ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਦਿਲ ਤਿਆਰ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਉਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਫ਼ੈਲਾ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੋਣਾ ਸੀ।
If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him;

14 ਤੈਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਪਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਘਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਹੈ। ਬਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੇਣਾ।
If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.

15 ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਵੱਲ ਬਿਨਾ ਸ਼ਰਮ ਦੇ ਤੱਕ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਡਰਿਆਂ ਦਿ੍ਰੜਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਖਲੋ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:

16 ਫੇਰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੁੱਲ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਮੁਸੀਬਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਪਾਣੀ ਵਰਗੀਆਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਵਹਿ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਹੈ।
Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:

17 ਫੇਰ ਤੇਰਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੁਪਹਿਰ ਦੀ ਧੁੱਪ ਨਾਲੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧੇਰੇ ਚਮਕੀਲਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ। ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਹਨੇਰੀਆਂ ਘੜੀਆਂ ਵੀ ਸਵੇਰ ਦੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਵਾਂਗ ਚਮਕਦੀਆਂ।
And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.

18 ਫੇਰ ਤੂੰ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਆਸ ਇੱਥੇ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੇਰਾ ਖਿਆਲ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਆਰਾਮ ਦਿੰਦਾ।
And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.

19 ਤੂੰ ਆਰਾਮ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੈ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਫ਼ਿਕਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਣਾ, ਅਤੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਨੂੰ ਭਾਲਿਆ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.
