Jeremiah 51:59
ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਭੇਜਣਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸਰਾਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸਰਾਯਾਹ ਨੇਰੀਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਨੇਰੀਯਾਹ ਮਹਸੇਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਸਰਾਯਾਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਬਾਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਉਦੋਂ ਵਾਪਰੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਚੌਬਾ ਵਰ੍ਹਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਇੱਕ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸਰਾਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ। ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੇਰੀਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਸੁਣਾਏ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਾਏ ਸਨ। ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਬੋਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਖ ਲਿਆ।

ਝੂਠਾ ਨਬੀ ਹਨਨਯਾਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਨ ਦੇ ਚੌਬੇ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ, ਗਿਬਓਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਨਬੀ ਹਨਨਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਾਜਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ,

ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਯੋਸ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਯਹੋਯਾਕੀਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦਾ ਚੌਬਾ ਵਰ੍ਹਾ ਸੀ, ਨਬੀ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨੇਰੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੀਆਂ। ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਪੱਤਰੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਖ ਲਈਆਂ। ਇਹ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਬਾਰੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ:

ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦਾ ਪਤਨ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਉਦੋਂ 21ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਸੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਣਿਆ। ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ 11 ਸਾਲ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਹਮੂਟਲ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਕਿ ਯਿਰਮਿਯਾਹ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਸੀ। ਹਮੂਤਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਲਿਬਨਾਹ ਕਸਬੇ ਦਾ ਸੀ।
