Jeremiah 44:6
ਇਸ ਲਈ, ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਕਹਿਰ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਇਆ। ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਕਸਬਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਗਲੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਮੇਰੇ ਕਹਿਰ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਕਸਬਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਦੇ ਸਖਣੇ ਢੇਰ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।”

| in the cities | בְּעָרֵ֣י | bĕʿārê | beh-ah-RAY |
| Judah of | יְהוּדָ֔ה | yĕhûdâ | yeh-hoo-DA |
| and in the streets | וּבְחֻצ֖וֹת | ûbĕḥuṣôt | oo-veh-hoo-TSOTE |
| of Jerusalem; | יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם | yĕrûšālāim | yeh-roo-sha-la-EEM |
| are they and | וַתִּהְיֶ֛ינָה | wattihyênâ | va-tee-YAY-na |
| wasted | לְחָרְבָּ֥ה | lĕḥorbâ | leh-hore-BA |
| and desolate, | לִשְׁמָמָ֖ה | lišmāmâ | leesh-ma-MA |
| as at this | כַּיּ֥וֹם | kayyôm | KA-yome |
| day. | הַזֶּֽה׃ | hazze | ha-ZEH |
