Jeremiah 34:21
ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਹੋਵੇ।

ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਖਾਸ ਦਸਤੇ ਦੇ ਕਮਾਂਡਰ ਨੇ ਸਰਾਯਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਸਫ਼ਨਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣਾ ਲਿਆ। ਸਰਾਯਾਹ ਵੱਡਾ ਜਾਜਕ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਸਫ਼ਨਯਾਹ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਅਗਲਾ ਛੋਟਾ ਜਾਜਕ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਦਰਬਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ।

ਅਤੇ ਓਸੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਹੀ, ਫਿਰਊਨ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਵੀ ਮਿਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਵੱਲ ਕੂਚ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਘੇਰਾ ਪਾ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆ ਰਹੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਨ ਲਈ ਚੱਲ ਚੁੱਕੀ ਸੀ।
Jeremiah 52:10
ਉੱਥੇ ਰਿਬਲਾਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਤਲ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਕਤਲ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਦੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Ezekiel 17:16
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਖੀ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਨਵਾਂ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਾਬਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ! ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਪਰ ਇਸ ਬੰਦੇ ਨੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਇਸ ਨਵੇਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਇਕਰਾਰਨਾਮੇ ਨੂੰ ਅਣਡਿੱਠ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
Jeremiah 32:4
ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਨਿਕਲ ਸੱਕੇਗਾ। ਸਗੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਹੀ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਹੋਕੇ ਗੱਲ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਖੇਗਾ।
Jeremiah 34:3
ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚ ਸੱਕੇਂਗਾ। ਤੂੰ ਅਵੱਸ਼ ਫ਼ੜ ਲਿਆ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ। ਤੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੇਖੇਂਗਾ। ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਰੂਬਰੂ ਗੱਲ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਜਾਵੇਂਗਾ।
Lamentations 4:20
ਰਾਜਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਲਈ ਸਾਹ ਵਾਂਗ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਿਉਣ ਲਈ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਸਾ ਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਖੁਦ ਰਾਜੇ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕੀਤੀ ਸੀ। ਅਸੀਂ ਰਾਜੇ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਛਾਵੇਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਰਹਾਂਗੇ। ਉਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਬਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।”
