Jeremiah 15:9
ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਚੇ ਹੋਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦੇਣਗੇ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਔਰਤ ਦੇ ਸੱਤ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਵੀ ਹੋਣ, ਪਰ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਮਰ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਉਹ ਜ਼ਾਰ-ਜ਼ਾਰ ਰੋਵੇਗੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੀਕ ਉਹ ਸਾਹ ਲੈਣ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਨਿਤਾਣੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੀ। ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਉਪਰਾਮ ਤੇ ਉਲਝੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਉਸਦਾ ਚਮਕੀਲਾ ਦਿਨ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਨਾਲ, ਹਨੇਰਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”

Isaiah 47:9
ਇਹ ਦੋ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ: ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਗੁਆ ਲਵੇਂਗੀ। ਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਪਤੀ ਗੁਆ ਲਵੇਂਗੀ। ਹਾਂ, ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੱਚਮੁੱਚ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਪਰਨਗੀਆਂ। ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਾਰਾ ਹੀ ਜਾਦੂ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀਸ਼ਾਲੀ ਕਰਤੱਬ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚਾਉਣਗੇ।
Lamentations 1:1
ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਬਾਹੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੁਦਨ ਇੱਕ ਵੇਲੇ, ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਿਆ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਕਿੰਨਾ ਸੱਖਣਾ ਤੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਹੈ! ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਮਹਾਨਤਮ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਧਵਾ ਵਰਗਾ ਬਣ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇੱਕ ਵੇਲੇ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਿਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਸੀ। ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
Amos 8:9
ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਆਖੇ, “ਉਸ ਵਕਤ, ਮੈਂ ਸੂਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਦੁਪਿਹਰ ਵੇਲੇ ਹੀ ਲਾਅ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਫ਼ ਦਿਨੇ ਹੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਹਨੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਢੱਕੱ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।
Jeremiah 15:2
ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਣ, ‘ਅਸੀਂ ਕਿੱਧਰ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੇ?’ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸ, ਇਹੀ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, “‘ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਮਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਮਰ ਜਾਵਣਗੇ। ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਭੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਮਰਨ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਭੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਮਰ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਮੈਂ ਫ਼ੜੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਹਰਲੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਭੇਜੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਬਾਹਰਲੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਅੰਦਰ ਕੈਦੀ ਬਣਨਗੇ।
Jeremiah 21:7
ਅਜਿਹਾ ਵਾਪਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ,’” ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਹੈ, “‘ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਬਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਸਿਦਕੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਇਸ ਭਿਆਨਕ ਪਲੇਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਕੁਝ ਬੰਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਰਨਗੇ। ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਲੋਕ ਭੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਰਨਗੇ। ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਕਰਾਵਾਂਗਾ। ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਨਬੂਕਦਨੱਸਰ ਕੋਈ ਰਹਿਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਖਾਏਗਾ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਅਫ਼ਸੋਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ।’
Jeremiah 44:27
ਮੈਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਰੱਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਨਜ਼ਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖ ਰਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਾਂ। ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਲੋਕ ਭੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਮਰਨਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਮਰਨਗੇ। ਉਹ ਉਨਾਂ ਚਿਰ ਤੱਕ ਮਰਦੇ ਰਹਿਣਗੇ ਜਿੰਨਾ ਚਿਰ ਤੀਕ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਖਤਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਦੇ।
Lamentations 4:10
ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਸੁਆਣੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਸ ਰਿੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ। ਉਹ ਬੱਚੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮਾਵਾਂ ਲਈ ਭੋਜਨ ਬਣ ਗਏ। ਇਹ ਉਦੋਂ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਤਬਾਹ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
Ezekiel 5:12
ਤੇਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਤੀਜਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਬੀਮਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਭੁੱਖ ਨਾਲ ਮਰ ਜਾਣਗੇ। ਤੇਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਤੀਜਾ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਜੰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਰ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਲਵਾਰ ਸੂਤ ਲਵਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਤੀਜੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਦੂਰ ਦੁਰਾਡੇ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਜਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
