James 5 - DBY (Punjabi)

1 Go to now, ye rich, weep, howling over your miseries that [are] coming upon [you].ਖੁਦਗਰਜ਼ ਅਮੀਰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਮਿਲੇਗੀ ਅਮੀਰ ਲੋਕੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੁਣੋ। ਚੀਕੋ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਰਲਾਓ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਤੇ ਆ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

2 Your wealth is become rotten, and your garments moth-eaten.ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਗਲ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਕਾਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ। ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਕੀੜਿਆਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਖਾਧੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।

3 Your gold and silver is eaten away, and their canker shall be for a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as fire. Ye have heaped up treasure in [the] last days.ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸੋਨੇ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਜੰਗ ਲੱਗ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਜੰਗ ਇਸ ਗੱਲ ਦਾ ਸਬੂਤ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਗਲਤ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਜੰਗ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਰੀਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅੱਗ ਵਾਂਗ ਖਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਆਖਰੀ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਖਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਬਚਾਕੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ।

4 Behold, the wages of your labourers, who have harvested your fields, wrongfully kept back by you, cry, and the cries of those that have reaped are entered into the ears of [the] Lord of sabaoth.ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਖੇਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ, ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਵੱਢ ਲਈ। ਹੁਣ ਸਵਰਗੀ ਫ਼ੌਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ ਹੈ।

5 Ye have lived luxuriously on the earth and indulged yourselves; ye have nourished your hearts [as] in a day of slaughter;ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਪਰਲਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਅਮੀਰੀ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਬੇਕਾਰ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਜਿਉਂਏ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਮੋਟਾ ਤਾਜਾ ਕਰ ਲਿਆ, ਉਸ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਵਾਂਗ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਬਲੀ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

6 ye have condemned, ye have killed the just; he does not resist you.ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚੰਗੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਕੋਈ ਮਿਹਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਖਾਈ। ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਫ਼ੇਰ ਵੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

7 Have patience, therefore, brethren, till the coming of the Lord. Behold, the labourer awaits the precious fruit of the earth, having patience for it until it receive [the] early and [the] latter rain.ਸਬਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣੋ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ ਸਬਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣੋ; ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਸਬਰ ਕਰੋ। ਕਿਸਾਨ ਸਬਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਹਨ। ਕਿਸਾਨ ਆਪਣੀ ਮੁੱਲਵਾਨ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਦਾ ਭੋਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉੱਗਣ ਦਾ ਇੰਤਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਸਾਨ ਸਬਰ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਫ਼ਸਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਰੀ ਮੀਂਹ ਪੈਣ ਦੀ ਉਡੀਕ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।

8 *Ye* also have patience: stablish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is drawn nigh.ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਸਬਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਮੀਦ ਨਾ ਛੱਡੋ। ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।

9 Complain not one against another, brethren, that ye be not judged. Behold, the judge stands before the door.ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਾਂ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ। ਜੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸ਼ਿਕਵੇ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਇਤਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੱਡੋਂਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਮੁਨਸਫ਼ ਛੇਤੀ ਹੀ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ।

10 Take [as] an example, brethren, of suffering and having patience, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of [the] Lord.ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੇ ਚੱਲੋ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੋਲੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁੱਖ ਝੱਲੇ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਬਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਨ।

11 Behold, we call them blessed who have endured. Ye have heard of the endurance of Job, and seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is full of tender compassion and pitiful.ਅਸੀਂ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਬਰ ਨਾਲ ਬਰਦਾਸ਼ਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੁਣ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹਨ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਅਯੂਬ ਦੇ ਸਬਰ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਅਯੂਬ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਇਸਤੋਂ ਪਤਾ ਚਲਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਯਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਹਰਬਾਨ ਹੈ।

12 But before all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, nor by the earth, nor by any other oath; but let your yea be yea, and your nay, nay, that ye do not fall under judgment.ਆਪਣੇ ਕਥਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਾਵੱਧਾਨ ਰਹੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ ਇਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਜ਼ਰੂਰੀ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੋਈ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਕਰੋ ਤਾਂ ਸੌਂਹ ਨਾ ਖਾਓ। ਸਵਰਗ, ਧਰਤੀ ਜਾਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਚੀਜ਼ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੋਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਸਦੀਕ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਨਾ ਵਰਤੋ। ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਭਾਵ “ਹਾਂ” ਹੋਵੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ਼ “ਹਾਂ” ਆਖਣੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜਦੋਂ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਭਾਵ “ਨਾਹ” ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ “ਨਾਹ” ਆਖੋ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਕਰੋ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਨਾ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ।

13 Does any one among you suffer evil? let him pray. Is any happy? let him sing psalms.ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਮੁਸ਼ਕਿਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਘਿਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨੀ ਚਾਹੀਦੀ ਹੈ। ਜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਗਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।

14 Is any sick among you? let him call to [him] the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of [the] Lord;ਜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਤੇਲ ਮਲਣ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨ।

15 and the prayer of faith shall heal the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he be one who has committed sins, it shall be forgiven him.ਅਤੇ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਖੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਉਸ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਨੇ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।

16 Confess therefore your offences to one another, and pray for one another, that ye may be healed. [The] fervent supplication of the righteous [man] has much power.ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗਲਤ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸੋ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਪਾਸੋਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹਨ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਸਰੇ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੀ ਕਰੋ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਰਾਜੀ ਕਰ ਸੱਕੇ। ਜਦੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਨੇਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਨਿਹਚਾ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਮਹਾਨ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਾਪਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

17 Elias was a man of like passions to us, and he prayed with prayer that it should not rain; and it did not rain upon the earth three years and six months;ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੀ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਮੀਂਹ ਨਾ ਪਾਵੇ। ਅਤੇ ਸਾਢੇ ਤਿੰਨ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਤੱਕ ਉਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਮੀਂਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਿਆ।

18 and again he prayed, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth caused its fruit to spring forth.ਫ਼ੇਰ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਮੀਂਹ ਪਵੇ। ਅਤੇ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਵਰੱਖਾ ਹੋਣ ਲੱਗੀ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਤੇ ਫ਼ਸਲਾਂ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉੱਗ ਪਈਆਂ।

19 My brethren, if any one among you err from the truth, and one bring him back,ਪਾਪੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਪ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਲਿਆਓ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਭੈਣੋ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਸੱਚ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਭਟਕ ਜਾਵੇ। ਅਤੇ ਦੂਸਰਾ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਵੱਲ ਵਾਪਸ ਲਿਆਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੇ।

20 let him know that he that brings back a sinner from [the] error of his way shall save a soul from death and shall cover a multitude of sins.ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਿਓ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਪਾਪੀ ਨੂੰ ਗਲਤ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਮੋੜਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਪਾਪੀ ਨੂੰ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਕੇ, ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਆਫ਼ੀ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਣ ਬਣੇਗਾ।
